Remembering Sharon Jones

I went to see Sharon and The dap-kings once. The event took place in Denver, Colorado in 2005 or 2006..... Absolutely amazing performance. At the end of the show she came down from the stage to greet her devoted audience..... so she shake my hand and we share a few words...... It was wonderful experience for me. She truly was The Queen. Thank You, Sharon.....

I heard Sharon sing and wrote to her once . It was when she was dying. I hope what I said was not offensive . It wasn't meant to be a little strength. I never got to see her like I never saw Freddie Mercury and Otis Redding
Any flowers going anywhere?

I'm so glad I got to witness your greatness in person when you played in Auckland two years ago, nothing like standing in the front row and watching you own that stage. Meeting you after the show was just great ending to an already amazing night.

Sharon, although you have left us, your legacy will live on forever.

I first learned of Sharon Jones through Entertainment weekly and was hooked from 2008 until now. It was my privilege to see her live here in Tucson a few years ago. I busted my knee dancing and had to leave before I was able to potentially meet her after the show. However I stayed to the end and she was phenomenal. It was an experience I will never forget. I also got to view the awesome documentary Ms. Sharon Jones which only made me love her more. The world has lost a truly amazing human being. Ms. Sharon Jones you will forever be one of my favorites!

I was first exposed to Sharon Jones' voice, groove and incredible spunk on the verge of womanhood. Her music was fierce and confident and supremely * * *. I've unfortunately not had the pleasure of seeing her perform live, but I can say surely, that her musical presence has made me a better woman. My love to hers. Long live Miss Sharon Jones!
