Sharon was a beautiful, talented and soulful woman who helped create a magical soundtrack for me during a wonderful time in my life. You moved me, you rocked me and you showed just how funky a woman can be. You were a dynamo, a force of nature and a unique soul. Thank you for touching my life. Your loss will be long mourned.

I was very moved by Sharon's presence both on and off the stage. She was the best combination of tough and sweet. Once I took my mother to see her, who has also battled cancer. I mentioned this and Sharon embraced my mom, dancing and singing the chorus from Destiny's Child's Survivor. Thank you, Sharon, for sharing your incredible gifts.

I'm truly sadden by Sharon Jones's passing. I wish I would've seen her perform live but her memory will on by jamming in my living room to her vinyl!
XOXO

I saw Sharon and the Dap Kings twice, once in an outdoor
Concert in NJ, and at the Beacon Theater in NYC.

Sharon lit up the stage with her energy!

I will miss you for much more than
100 days and 100 nights.

We were lucky enough to see Sharon in a tiny venue in Birmingham, The Yardbird. She was astonishing, as were The Dap-Kings. The intimate atmosphere added to an amazing night of music and dancing. It ranks among my favourite gigs of all time, if not my all time favourite.
We will be decorating our tree to the strains of '...Holiday Soul Party' and will raise a glass to a beautiful, talented, wonderful person.
Rest In Peace xx
