I've lost count of how many SJDK shows I've been blessed to see. Small venues, big festivals, mountains, seasides, torrential downpours, blizzards (NEMO in Boston band stuck in NYC), molten hot summers. Once she stopped a show when a woman fell in the front row and hurt herself. She noticed from the stage and the stopped while the person was being cared for.. then she prayed for the woman and the show went on. Sharon & the Dap Kings call you to be near, draw you in with their magic and make you celebrate life. I will treasure every time we met, danced on stage, chatted back stage. She is a real, genuine person that my heart and soul misses deeply. Sending love to those who love her.
